Remembering the Orphans In-Person
Remembering the Orphans, a presentation by Lori Vicker. Vicker’s program will summarize the historical era known as the Orphan Train Movement that took place in the United States between 1854 and 1929. Her program includes a display of vintage children's clothing from that era.
Speaker Lori Vicker is a retired reading specialist who travels the state sharing her interest and enthusiasm for this little known era. A bibliography will be provided to highlight popular non-fiction and historical fiction for your reading interest.
