Planting for Pollinators: Creating Stepping Stones of Habitat In-Person
Join us to learn how to provide stepping stones of habitat for pollinators. We will give away five different species of milkweed plants (essential for monarchs) and provide planting information. Choose what best suits you: one potted plant, a few plants for a flower garden, or more; every effort helps!
Instructor Kristin Siewert teaches in the biology department at Central College. Monarchs are an area of interest for her; she is involved in creating monarch way stations, collecting seed, growing and distributing native milkweed plants, and monarch tagging. She has participated in collaborative monarch research with ISU and led monarch research with Central College students the last 5 years.
